Sumayyah Emeh-Edu (she/her) is an innovative EMCEE and Experience Facilitator dedicated to fostering human connection and tech mindfulness to improve productivity, performance & mental health. With over 20 years of experience across higher education and global talent transformation—including senior roles at Charles Schwab and Canopy Growth—Sumayyah has been a trusted partner to orgs such as Oracle, Amwell, Bill.com, University of Colorado, and NPR’s KQED.
In 2023 she experienced extreme burnout, in which she credits her recovery to a strong support system and mindfulness. Since then, Sumayyah has redirected her expertise to ensure intentional connection to self, technology and each other , are embedded into the way organizations meet and work. She facilitates experiences that are novel-- where moments together matter and remain with participants long after the event ends.
Sumayyah also serves as a board member for Disrupt HR Denver and is an active member of Mile High SHRM. She is also a member of Colorado Black Women for Political Action and a volunteer for the Ethnic College Counseling Center. She lives in the Denver Metro area, has a 15-year-old daughter and in her free time enjoys travel, Latin dancing, hiking, listening to podcasts, and reading.
